Final Presentation
Here is the final presentation of my project website, which is a professional portfolio that is meant to replace my old Weebly portfolio site.

I must say that I wasn’t confident at the beginning of the semester that I could produce a site that I would actually use. However, I am thrilled with the results and fully intend to begin using this new site immediately!
Obviously using the responsive template was the key to building a site that looks amazing and well beyond my simple skills. But, I am happy that I have learned enough to manipulate those templates enough to accomplish these great results. Now, on to rule the world! Of course, if that doesn’t happen, I would be happy to land a great job with the help of my new site.
I decided to place a variety of content on the first scrollable home page to give hiring managers and recruiters a quick look within seconds of arriving. I’ve learned that they don’t stick around long if they have to click through page after page of content. I chucked some video into the image placeholders and a jQuery photo slider into another. I also sprinkled some inspirational quotes around and worked to format everything in CSS to appear dynamic yet uniform.
The media page is meant to showcase a few more full-length videos, some audio, feature film projects, and a bit of writing. I learned how to option both the CSS style sheet and inline styling to manhandle things into shape. Whatever it takes to make it work! I have noticed some slight formatting issues when viewing the media page on an iPad, but I’ll wrestle that bear later.
The Resume page is simple and offers a PDF download option.
The Contact page was tricky for me, and the one provided with the template was causing me a headache, therefore I replaced the html with that from my icm505 contact page. I tweaked the styling and I think it looks great. And it works!
Using the PHP “include” for headers and footers is just incredibly helpful. The pop-out menu is a nice hamburger menu and keeps things clean. Social icons added to the footer look great and are currently tied to my new accounts for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn, and Email.
I feel confident that I will be able to maintain and update this portfolio as I create new content and develop better coding skills. This was truly addicting!
I could use two (2) endorsers if anyone has the time.
Thank you! It has been a great and challenging semester, and I appreciate the encouragement you all have provided.
